Annual Appeal Overages and Hardworking Knights Mean New Kneelers at All Saints

The Kneeler Team of The Knights Of All Saints Council 11402 - Front: Past Grand Knight E.J. Couvillion and Grand Knight Joe Mitchell

The brothers of All Saints Knights of Columbus Council 11402 in Dunwoody worked together over two days to complete a major “Faith-in-Action” project, funded with overages from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.  More than 30 Knights united to remove and replace 35-year-old cushions, update noise-reducing buffer pads, repair over 60 trays for prayer and song books, replace several damaged kneelers, and vacuum every pew plus the carpet!

Led by Father Michael Silloway, STL, and aided by the Office of Mission Advancement, All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody exceeded their goal for the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. Compared to the previous year, an additional 180 families contributed to the Appeal, an increase of 55%.  Those overage funds went directly back to the parish to utilize for projects like this one.  The generous volunteer efforts of the Knights further reduced costs.

“Through the hard work of the Knights, this long-awaited project saved the All Saints parish over $4500.  ‘Service to one, service to all!’”

-E.J. Couvillion (Council 11402, Past Grand Knight)
