The Diocese of Kakamega, Kenya was a 2022-2023 Grant Award Recipient of Catholic Mission Outreach. In October 2024, we received an update from the Diocese of Kakamega, discussing the tangible impact of your generosity to Catholic Mission Outreach.

What is Catholic Mission Outreach?

Catholic Mission Outreach (CMO) is the international outreach program of the Archdiocese of Atlanta that supports the work of evangelization and serves the needs of the poor throughout the Catholic Church worldwide. It is funded primarily through second collections in parishes as well as direct donations to the CMO fund.

How Your Generosity Made a Difference

The Benedictine Sisters of Divine Providence serve underprivileged and abandoned children in the Diocese of Kakamega by caring, educating, and protecting them as their cases are being handled in court.

Your support has given the sisters the chance to provide basic needs, including food, shelter, medical care, education, and counseling, to the children who reside in the Divine Providence Children’s Home. They have also been able to work throughout the adoption and foster care process so the children can be with loving families.
