Catholic Charities Atlanta

Catholic Charities, a championed program of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, provides transformative services that empower families living in our community to achieve self-sufficiency.

Through its 8 service areas and 20 + programs, Catholic Charities of Atlanta delivers assistance every day designed to develop critical life skills, education, a path to employment, security, and well-being to those in most need.

97 employees and 431 generous volunteers aid 11,352 people in need across 60 counties in our diocese. But they cannot do it alone.

Your Support for Catholic Charities provides the hope many seek to get back on their feet and increases the likelihood of self-sufficiency through after school programs to improve reading skills, ESL workforce initiative programs that provide a path to employment, financial coaching, parenting skills, veterans resources, legal rights for survivors of domestic violence, food security, and much more.

87% of those receiving services are low-income clients who have often found no other help and have nowhere else to turn. They come to Catholic Charities of Atlanta tired, frustrated, and broken.

You can partner with Catholic Charities of Atlanta and be the change that many clients so desperately seek. This year’s Archbishop’s Annual Appeal highlights St. Joseph Place, and Veterans Services as programs in most need of support to assist our brothers and sisters and make all things new in our community.
Monifa Holman

“I want to help the people we serve see God in the love and care we provide. I want to be a faith-builder."

– Monifa Holman, Director, Family Stabilization Services at Catholic Charities Atlanta

St. Joseph Place

offers dignified independent living for the eldest and often loneliest in downtown Atlanta in a peaceful wooded community. The center for residents to gather and meet for activities and companionship faced a decline and closed in 2018 pending needed renovations. This vital space was generously transformed by volunteers creating a new kitchen and gathering space.
