Catholic Charities Atlanta Parenting Services
Each year, Catholic Charities Atlanta’s Parent Talk Program serves to educate, strengthen, and support one hundred low-income pregnant and parenting families to raise their children in a safe and healthy environment so that children may have a chance to reach their full potential.
Services focus on family support, child development, and early interventions to educate expectant parents, new parents, and caregivers/guardians raising infants about how to successfully navigate parenting.
Without these tools, clients like Shannon lack the support and knowledge to provide a safe and healthy environment for their children to thrive.
Successful parenting starts at home and Triple-P Certified staff make monthly home visits, increasing programmatic success through in person, one-to-one services. Preservation of the family is vital to a healthy community and services are offered to families to prevent the removal of children from their home or re-entry into the foster care system.
