Middle school-focused faith formation opportunities are scarce.  This transitional period can be an especially vulnerable time, but with your help, the Office of Evangelization & Discipleship’s Youth Ministry can address this gap with “Holy Fire” A Day of Encounter.  Held each March, local teens gather for a full day of spiritual growth and fellowship.

I liked being surrounded by youth of my own age sharing the faith together.
The food, music, and Adoration was great.
Overall, a fun experience!”

– Peter

With dynamic speakers, inspirational music, and profound encounters of the Eucharist through Adoration and Mass, this event can be a spiritual spark for at least 800 middle schoolers from the Archdiocese of Atlanta and surrounding dioceses.

“Holy Fire was truly a blessing for our teens.  We can teach the faith all we want but nothing compares with a true encounter with our Precious Lord.  They witnessed this in the talks presented, the music, and the stories shared.” – Christine Roman, Youth Minister at St. Stephen the Martyr, Lilburn

However, with their longtime partner no longer able to assist, Youth Ministry has taken on the full burden of running this faith formation event. High ticket prices can be a deterrent for many families, and the ministry wants to keep this event accessible.

Adoration At Holy Fire

“A 10/10! The band provided a lot of energy!
Our favorite part was Adoration.
We also really enjoyed the fact that we had built in time for Confession.”

– Laura & Jacklyn

Help Youth Ministry keep the cost of participation down and bring the Catholic faith to life in a relevant and engaging way.  Your support of Holy Fire ignites the faith of our teens and allows them to embrace their baptismal call as children of God and missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.

“These experiences stay with us forever and anything we can do to create more for our youth is definitely something worth pushing forward. In a world in which the culture is pressing everything else into their hearts and minds, we need to keep fighting to give them the opportunity to encounter Christ, right where they are, with stories they can relate to and the sacraments and the Holy Mass to strengthen in their journey.”  – Christine Roman
