How Christie Crane Supports Christmas Connections with Catholic Charities Atlanta, Funded by Archbishop’s Appeal

Christie Crane shared this message about her ministry, which is partially funded by the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal:
Every Christmas, Catholic Charities Atlanta collaborates with the Archdiocese of Atlanta to run
Christmas Connections. This program gives over 900 struggling families special gifts from our community and celebrates the true meaning of the season.The volunteers interview families for Christmas needs and wishes and discover valuable information such as the color of a child’s bedroom walls so they can receive matching décor or the color of a desired blanket. The joy of seeing these families have a Christmas is contagious. Seeing their faces light up as the volunteers fill their cars or hand them boxes of gifts is priceless. It truly shows the Christmas spirit. Christmas Connections serves 939 families, 4,149 individuals and 8 parishes with over 173 volunteers.

Cada Navidad, Caridades Católicas de Atlanta colabora con la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta para llevar a cabo Christmas Connections. Este programa brinda obsequios especiales de nuestra comunidad a más de 900 familias con dificultades y celebra el verdadero significado de la temporada.
Los voluntarios entrevistan a las familias para conocer sus necesidades y deseos navideños, y descubren información valiosa, como el color de las paredes del dormitorio de un niño para que pueda recibir una decoración acorde o el color de una manta deseada.
