Meet Efraín García, Member of the Hispanic & Latino Ministry, Funded by the Archbishop’s Appeal

Efraín García shared this message about his ministry, which is partially funded by the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal:
Throughout my journey and migration to the U.S., I have faced several hardships, but I am deeply grateful to the Lord for guiding me through them. I migrated to the U.S. in 1999, am self-employed, and since 2000 have been volunteering at Our Lady of La Salette Parish. I am in the Chorus for the Hispanic Mass and participate in the Celebration of the Word. I encourage those who seek help to remember that regardless of our sins, God is open to embracing us with His boundless grace. I have witnessed significant growth in our Hispanic members from 200 to 800! We now offer two Spanish Masses and one bilingual Mass to accommodate the diverse needs of our congregation. When people seek help and I am unable to provide the support they need, I find others to help to ensure their needs are met.

A lo largo de mi viaje y migración a los EE. UU., he enfrentado varias dificultades, pero agradezco profundamente al Señor por guiarme a través de estas. Llegué a los EE. UU. en 1999, soy trabajador independiente y desde el año 2000 he servido como voluntario en la parroquia Our Lady of La Salette. Estoy en el coro de la misa hispana y participo en la Celebración de la Palabra. Animo a que quienes buscan ayuda recuerden que, independientemente de nuestros pecados, Dios está abierto a acogernos con su gracia ilimitada. ¡He sido testigo de un crecimiento significativo de nuestros miembros hispanos de 200 a 800! Ahora ofrecemos dos misas en español y una misa bilingüe para satisfacer las diversas necesidades de nuestra congregación. Cuando las personas buscan ayuda y no puedo brindarles el apoyo que necesitan, busco a otras personas que puedan ayudar a garantizar que sus necesidades sean satisfechas.
