Priests Across the Archdiocese of Atlanta Gather for 2025 Jubilarian Celebration

Fr. Joseph Mullakkara, MSFS with his brother priests applauding his 50 years of priesthood

Through the work of the Office of Priest Personnel and the gift of a generous donor secured by the Office of Mission Advancement General Fund, 278 priests gathered for a day of reflection and celebration.

On the Tuesday of Holy Week, priests from across the archdiocese came together in fellowship for the Lenten Day of Reflection, facilitated by Fr. Tim Hepburn. They then renewed their vows and participated in the Chrism Mass.

Finally, the day was capped off with the Jubilarian Celebration. Priests who were celebrating 25th and 50th anniversaries of their ordination were honored with a dinner, a speech highlighting their ministries presented by the Master of Ceremony Fr. Robbie Cotta, and a gift from Archbishop Gregory John Hartmayer, OFM Conv.

“The dinner is one of the only times each year that the majority of our priests gather together and have the opportunity to visit with their brothers.  It is truly a highlight of the year.”
