St. Mary Catholic Church in Toccoa, GA Celebrates Donors and Development

Thanks to the generosity of local parishioners and your contributions to the “Honoring Mary’s Legacy” Fund, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Toccoa, GA has seen exciting development!
Initial Call for Help
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, which started as a small mission, has lacked the proper space required for parish activities, classes, and offices. Children gather for class outside, oftentimes without anywhere to sit. Pastor Father Henry Pham does not have an office, and Deacon Rich Thibodeau uses a folding table as a ‘makeshift’ desk.
New Developments
It is because of your compassionate support and the support of others that St. Mary’s will now enjoy a new Parish Life Center, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen! Additionally, the parish’s children will no longer gather for classes outside. Instead, a once rundown structure has been completely remodeled into the Religious Education Center, with six classrooms and modern, ADA-compliant restrooms.
A beautiful Donor Recognition Tree was unveiled this spring. Each leaf serves as a testament to the incredible giving of both St. Mary’s parishioners and contributors from across the archdiocese. With the help of the Office of Mission Advancement, connections were made to well-known Catholic artist, Caroline Camick, who created the hand-painted mural.
More Support is Needed
Your kind donations directly reduce the debt for this growing parish. With your help, St. Mary’s can soon start furnishing the Religious Education Center and Clergy Offices. Work can also begin on the St. Mary Prayer Garden, which will feature statues of the Holy Family, St. Michael, and Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
The spirit of St. Mary’s is strong and growing. Your support through the “Honoring Mary’s Legacy” Fund directly assists in managing debt and aiding their continued growth. Donate here.
