Supporting Income-Generating Skills for Vulnerable Girls and a Water Drill Rig for Anié in Togo – Catholic Mission Outreach
Your abundant generosity is changing lives in Togo! The Sisters of the Visitation of Mary are devoted to uplifting girls at risk of prostitution by offering them classes and training in useful, income-generating skills.
The Sisters of the Visitation of Mary, Togo and Benin, were a 2024 Grant Award Recipient of Catholic Mission Outreach. In June 2025, we received an update from the Sisters of the Visitation of Mary, discussing the tangible impact of your generosity to Catholic Mission Outreach.
What is Catholic Mission Outreach?
Catholic Mission Outreach (CMO) is the international outreach program of the Archdiocese of Atlanta that supports the work of evangelization and serves the needs of the poor throughout the Catholic Church worldwide. It is funded primarily through second collections in parishes as well as direct donations to the CMO fund.
How Your Generosity Made a Difference
With your contribution, 72 girls are learning the craft of manufacturing key rings, bags, vanities, and glass covers. As they earn their diplomas, they can sell independently and make a living, ultimately saving them from the dark world of prostitution.
Along with this incredible initiative, the Sisters proudly display a drilling rig they were able to install in the village of Anié in Togo. This rig provides a stable water source for countless families and places, including local schools.

The Sisters are joyous and grateful for our help and collaboration in bringing hope and strength to the people of Togo. They reference Matthew 25:40, which reads, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me,” as a daily reminder for the selfless and important work they do. With your help, they can achieve this divine calling and bring the love of God to Togo.
